CB Sporthorses specializes in the import of quality sporthorses from Germany. Horses are selected based on their temperament and rideability. Key blood lines imported include Hanoverian, Holsteiner, Oldenburg, Westphalian and Trakehner. All imported horses undergo a thorough vet check before leaving Germany.

Carin has a vast network of breeders, private horse owners, competitiors and sales barns in her native Germany and has also established lots of contacts in the US. She is therefore well informed about the current horse market and will gladly act as your agent to find you your dreamhorse – be it an FEI Youngster, a “ready to go” Show Jumper or German Riding Pony.. There are always several horses to chose from, standing at CBSporthorses in Los Angeles. We import horses from Germany on a regular basis and take on consignment horses from clients as well. Carin as an excellent eye and years of experience of picking suitable horses for the job intended and for the individual clients abilities and needs. She is professional, honest and straightforward and has the buyer’s interest in her mind.

CB Sporthorses offers a consignment program to those who are interested in selling their horse. The program offers all benefits of a full training package, as well extensive quality marketing and representation of your horse to prospective buyers. We handle all aspects of your horse's care and training, as well as details of sales. We communicate regularly with you, the horse owner, regarding your horse's care, training, and sale status. We are selective in terms of which horses we take; only those horses we feel we can sell confidently will be accepted. Our success rate is 95%. Turn around time runs from 30 days to 6 months.

Additionally, keenly skilled at matching horses to riders, as well as recognizing horses well suited for dressage, Carin offers her expertise for the evaluation of horses being considered for purchase.

Full training horses are on a full grooming and daily 4 hour turn out program.
Supplement feeding included for all training horses, feed to be provided by owner.

CBSporthorses keeps the goal in mind that the student would develop autonomy. We want our students to develop into critically thinking riders. Our goal is to create “horsepeople” who can make tactical training judgments and learn to be independent. For those students who own their own horses, we strive to provide them with the tools to help them and their mounts improve.

For beginners and children we offer lessons on safe and calm horses of various sizes. For a smooth start in the saddle you will be on the longe line until you feel balanced and comfortble so that you can pick up the reins. Carin is eager to teach you in her calm and patient way and would be happy to support you while you are taking your first speps in a new and fun sport.

Carin welcomes riders from various backgrounds and riding disciplines. She has an outgoing personality and incorporates a good sense of humor into her lessons. She offers private lessons to competing dressage riders as well as to pleasure riders seeking to improve their horses and their riding through a greater understanding of dressage techniques. There are also many students taking advantage of the unique concept of using quality sales horses in lessons until sold. Dressage horses up to FEI levels are made available to select students. Carin is known for her tireless devotion to her students and her willingness to explain and show everything until the student experiences success.
